KITZ valves, from an authorised distributor
KITZ manufactures valves, fittings and industrial filters used across building services, water systems, natural gas networks and process industries from semiconductors to oil refining. Optimus Distributor was appointed authorised distributor for KITZ Valve in 2019 and holds KITZ as its core line — ball, gate, globe, check and butterfly patterns in bronze, cast iron, carbon steel and stainless steel, supported by engineers who match each figure to the duty.

Who KITZ is, and why the line runs deep
KITZ supplies one of the broadest arrays of valves in the industry, in terms of both materials and designs. Its valves sit in applications close to daily life — building facilities, water and sewer systems, natural gas distribution — and in production processes from semiconductors to oil refining and petrochemicals. That breadth is exactly why KITZ anchors our catalogue: one manufacturer, consistent quality management, and a figure for almost every general-service duty a Malaysian plant runs.
For our own business the position is simple: KITZ valves are our biggest moneymakers, and we treat the line accordingly — it is the line held on our Subang Jaya racks in the most patterns and sizes, and the one our engineers know best.
Water supply, sewerage and natural gas distribution — the utility backbone KITZ was built on.
Refining, petrochemical and semiconductor processes that demand consistent trim and traceability.
What the appointment means for your order
Optimus Distributor was appointed authorised distributor for KITZ Valve in 2019. In practice that means the product on our racks arrives through the manufacturer's own channel: genuine castings, current designs, and a warranty chain that traces back to KITZ rather than to a trading intermediary. When a spec question goes beyond the datasheet, we can put it to the principal and return with the manufacturer's answer, not a guess.
If you have been burned by grey-market stock before, the difference is checkable — we explain how in what an authorised distributor actually guarantees you.
Five KITZ patterns, and where each belongs
| Pattern | Operation | Best at | Typical materials |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ball | Quarter-turn | Fast, tight shutoff; easy actuation; clear open/closed indication | Bronze, carbon steel, stainless steel |
| Gate | Multi-turn rising stem | Full-bore isolation on long runs with infrequent, slow operation | Cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel |
| Globe | Multi-turn | Throttling and regulation where pressure drop is acceptable | Bronze, cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel |
| Check | Automatic | Stopping reverse flow behind pumps and at risers | Bronze, cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel |
| Butterfly | Quarter-turn | Large bores at low weight and cost; wafer or lugged mounting | Cast iron body, elastomer seat |
Pattern guidance is general engineering practice. Which pattern — and which size, rating and material — your line actually needs depends on fluid, pressure, temperature and cycling. That is what the enquiry call is for.
Choosing the body: bronze to stainless
Most KITZ selection questions end up being materials questions. Bronze serves water, air and light utility lines economically. Cast iron carries larger low-pressure water duties. Carbon steel takes general process and steam service, and stainless steel earns its premium wherever corrosion, hygiene or temperature extremes rule the others out. We keep the spread on the rack so the right answer is also the available answer — the reasoning is laid out in our body-materials comparison.
- Bronze — water, air, light utility; economical and dezincification-resistant options
- Cast iron — larger low-pressure water and HVAC mains
- Carbon steel — general process, steam and hydrocarbon service
- Stainless steel — corrosive, hygienic and temperature-extreme duties
Racked and ready in Subang Jaya
The photographs below are our own floor — boxed KITZ stock palletised and racked at Jalan Tiara 3. When we say an item is available, it is because someone can walk to the rack and put a hand on it. Collection is welcome; delivery runs across Malaysia including Sabah and Sarawak.

Engineers on the call, not just order-takers
We don't just sell parts — we sit down with your engineers to make sure the valve fits the service, not just the budget. The two classic mistakes run in opposite directions: going too cheap and paying for it in downtime, or over-engineering past what the project actually needs. A short conversation about fluid, pressure, temperature and cycling usually settles the figure — and settles it once.
Send the figure number, or just the duty.
Either works. Price, lead time and stock on the first reply — and an engineer on the line when the spec needs a second opinion.
